He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Long (Leipper); and his children, Linda Phillips of Ardmore, AL, Lois Kuhns (John) of Guilford Lake and Joel Long (Candie) of Leetonia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
