It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Cope (Lisbon, Ohio), born in Salem, Ohio, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward K. Cope and Hazel Faye Cope (Vale); his wife Martha S. "Marty" Cope (Chestnut); and his siblings, Katherine Vogle, Caroline Adams and Bob Cope.

He is survived by : his children, Teresa A. Carney (Kevin) of Lisbon, Mark C. Cope (Stephanie) of Calcutta and Matthew J. Cope (Nicole) of South Carolina; his brothers, Ken Cope (Joann) of Columbiana and Richard Cope of East Fairfield; his sister-in-law Karen Cope of Lisbon; his grandchildren, Clint Carney, Clay Carney (Kelly), Cole, Hannah and Jake Cope; and his great grandchildren, Brooke Carney and Carson Carney.
