It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ada Carpenter Houchin Starr of Lodi, Ohio, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ada Carpenter Houchin leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Carpenter and Dora Price Carpenter; and her spouse Forest Houchin. She is survived by: her sons, Richard Houchin of Lodi, Ohio, Gene Houchin of Jeromesville, Ohio and Jerry Houchin of Chloe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc.-Arnoldsburg Chapel (1440 Arnoldsburg Rd, Spencer, WV 25234). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
