He was predeceased by: his father Lester O. Hammond; and his stepfather Donald Stivison. He is survived by: his mother Eloise Swaim Stivison; his wife Harriet Mohler Hammond; his sons, Denny Hammond (Tiffany) of Lithopolis and Justin Hammond (Sarah) of Logan; his grandchildren, Paige, Braiden Hammond, Paisley and Lily Hammond; his stepmother Patty Hammond; and his siblings, Debbie Cherry (Eugene), Donald Stivison Jr. of Logan, Russell Hammond (Melissa) of Mount Vernon, Todd Hammond (Trinda) of Newark and Jason Hammond (Ann) of Zanesville.
