He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Crawford and Ruth Crawford (Dittoe); and his sister Joyce Stine. He is survived by : his wife Wendy Crawford (Wilhelm); his children, Tyler Crawford of Hilliard and Taylor Crawford of Logan; his stepdaughters, Jessica Snyder of Logan and Katelynn Snyder of Logan; his grandchildren, McKenzie, Tristin and Stephen; and his sisters, Janice Spencer of Lancaster and Joan Rodriguez (Angelo) of Texas.

The family suggests donations in memory of James be made to the US Department of Veterans Affairs or Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care.
