He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Murtha and Irene Murtha (Sater). He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann (Swisher); his children, Elizabeth Dove (Dalton) of Goldsboro, Matthew (Jan) of Nineveh, Michael of Logan and Patrick (Crystal) of Rossford, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ashley, Will, McKenna, Cameron, Brennan, Addison, Jackson, Angus, Bennett and Zeke; and his sister Susan Ryan (Owen) of Kirkswood, Pennsylvania.. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
