He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Ellinger and Florence Ellinger (Blum); his wife Betty; his sons, Jeffrey L. Ellinger and Douglas L. Ellinger; and his siblings, Donald Ellinger, Paul Ellinger, Lawrence J. Ellinger and Helen Rauber.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jeffrey E. Ellinger of Rockbridge, Nathan F. Ellinger (Stephanie) of Ross County and Jessica L. Ellinger (Tim Bigham) of Logan; his great grandchildren, Breanna Boyd (Jacob), Wyat Ellinger, Kaylee Ellinger, Grant Stewart (Ashley), Dillon Stewart, Audrianna Watson, Alanna, Aleeah Watson, Miley Bigham and Gracelynn Bigham; his close friend Larry Dickens; and his nephew David Rauber. He is also survived by 3 great-great grandchildren.
