He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Stanley and Freda Frances West (Guess); his wife Shelia Mae West (Trader); his grandchildren, Krista Barrell and Spencer Bush; and his siblings, Thomas Eugene West and Delores Brening.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Michael West (Chris) of Logan, Ohio, Teresa Barrell (David) of Logan, Beverly Nihiser (Randy) of Logan and Susan Bush (Tracy) of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; and his siblings, Charles William "Bill" West and Patty Gibson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
