As Robert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Robert leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Osgood and Nellie Ruth Irene Thompson (Yarrington); and his sisters, Shirley Shank, Mary Alice Fry and Wilma Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Karen S. Thompson; and his daughters, Robin Lynne Carter (David Hendrix) of Rockbridge and Valerie Thompson Ruetsche (Marcel) of Logan, Ohio. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
