He was predeceased by : his wife Janet Lindenau (Howard); his grandson Collin Hovatter; his parents, Peter Lindenau and Irene Lindenau (Draves); and his brother Richard Hook.

He is survived by : his children, Christopher Lindenau, Andrew Lindenau, Alexandria Hovatter (Joseph) and Elizabeth Dvorak (David); and his sister Paulette Rawdon (Lindenau).

A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Eastman Funeral Home (200 W Main St, New London, OH 44851). Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (18 Park Ave, New London, OH 44851).
