Brenda Marie Del Valle Obituary
Brenda Marie Del Valle, 60, of Lorain, Ohio passed away suddenly in her home Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from chronic health issues.
Brenda was born April 8, 1966, in Lorain, Brenda lived a life full of Love, laughter, and good food. She loved to cook for the people she cared about; her kitchen was always open and no one left hungry. When she wasn't making someone's favorite meal, you could find her playing Bingo and hanging out with friends at the American Legion Post # 30 in Lorain where she was an auxiliary member. Brenda enjoyed working at fundraisers, banquets and events.
Brenda loved collecting Angel and the Grinch figurines. She returned to Lorain in 2016 from St. Petersburg, Florida where she lived for 16 years. Brenda worked at Bats Taxi as a dispatcher in St. Pete Beach. She also worked at Mercy Hospital, Lorain as a housekeeper.
Brenda's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband Joseph "Joey" Gonzalez of Lorain; her loving children Amin Abouelhana and Maria Abouelhana both of Lorain; precious granddaughter Keira Cortes, sister Fay Yee of Lorain, four nephews, she also leaves behind many friends and extended family who will miss her warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents Santos and Thelma (nee Whitlock) Del Valle, sister Mona Del Valle, and a brother Charles Whitlock.
Her family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 3:00 until her service at 6:00 PM. Deacon, Luis Maldonado of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain will officiate.
