He was predeceased by: his mother Diane Fries (Vargo); and his grandparents, Frank, Rose Biber and Betha Vargo. He is survived by: his father Thomas Richard Fries (Betty); his brothers, Jim Fries (Irene) and Tom Allen Fries (Kelly); and his stepbrother Paul Hurd.
