Edgardo Castro Santiago Obituary
I regret to inform every one of the death of Edgardo "Gardy" Castro Santiago of Lorain, October 1, 2026. He was born March 16, 1965 in Juana Díaz Puerto Rico. His parents Marcial Castro and Zoraida Santiago; his children Edgardo, Alexis and Zuleidy; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brothers. There are no words that can express what wonderful grandpa he was to us.
Gardy always had a smile on his face, cheerful and his hobbies were drinking, walking, his car and listening to music. He was happy with his loud music.
As a daughter, I know that my dad was not easy, you could give him advice which he did not follow. As his daughter I feel calm and satisfied, although he left me very soon. Daddy no longer suffers, he will no longer have pain, but we missed him too much when he came home happy as he used to be.
I know that he will be missed in La Perla as he said my house the friends who became family.
I give my sincere thanks to everyone on behalf of his children and the family.
His family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 4 to 8 PM and Wednesday, October 7, 2026 4 until time of his service at 7 PM. Rev. Father Alex Spenik of Sacred Hearth Chapel, Lorain will officiate.
Lamento informar a todos el fallecimiento de quien en vida fue Edgardo Castro Santiago nacido en Juana Díaz PR, sus padres Marcial Castro y Zoraida Santiago sus hijos Edgardo, Alexis y zuleidy sus nietos, bisnietos y hermanos. No hay palabras que puedan expresar lo que papi a significado para todos nosotros. Gardy siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro, alegre y su pasatiempo era beber y andar en su carro oyendo música, él era feliz con su música alta. Yo como hija sé que mi papá no era fácil se le podían dar consejos los cuales el no seguía yo su hija me siento tranquila y conforme aunque se me fue muy pronto papi ya no sufre no tendrá dolor pero lo extrañamos demasiado cuando llegaba a casa contento como solía ser el. Se que se extrañará en La Perla como el decía mi casa los amigos que para se convirtieron en familia. Yo le doy mis más sinceras gracias a todos de parte de sus hijos y de la familia.
