He was predeceased by : his parents, Nathaniel Hagwood and Mable Hagwood Sr.; and his siblings, Carolyn Hagwood, Alisha Hagwood and Roger Hagwood.

He is survived by : his siblings, Cecil Johnson (Ruby), Nathaniel Hagwood Jr., Herbert Hagwood Sr. (Drema), Richard Hagwood (Camille) and Jeanette Mosley (Jackie); and his sister-in-law Sandra Hagwood. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
