He was predeceased by: his brother Sandalio; and his grandparents, Felix and Isabelle Rodriguez, Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, George Rodriguez, and Adrianne Rodriguez, Sr.; and his siblings, George Rodriguez, Jr., Sadie Rodriguez (Jake Humble), Miranda Rodriguez (Moises Munez) and Angelica Rodriguez (Nate Steelman). He is also survived by five nieces and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Izek's memory to the Lorain County Veteran's Service Office.
