James R. Jaykel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Jaykel of Lorain, Ohio, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jolynne; his parents, Edward J. Jaykel and Jessie V. Jaykel; and his brother Edward Jaykel. He is survived by: his children, James A. Jaykel (Carol) and Julianne Nau (David) of Elyria; and his granddaughter Jessica Nau.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Parish (3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053).
Contributions in Jim's memory are encouraged to St. Peter Parish with a special emphasis toward the maintenance fund.
