It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Cafierro of Lorain, Ohio, who passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carmine Cafierro; her parents, Natale Pecora and Maria Francesca Pecora; and her grandson Joseph DelMonico. She is survived by: her children, Luigina DelMonico (Joseph) and Frank Cafierro (Anna Maria); her grandchildren, John DelMonico, Francesco Cafierro Sr. (Ashley Fuglio), Angela Albores (Oscar) and Connie DelMonico; her great grandchildren, Luigino DelMonico (Brittany), Giovanni DelMonico, Antonio DelMonico, Adrianna Albores, Penelope Albores and Francesco Cafierro Jr.; her great great grandchild Valentina DelMonico; and her sister Clotilde DeRose.
