Nehemias Bonilla Obituary
Nehemias "Bo" Bonilla entered heaven on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 7:27pm, at the beautiful age of 59. He was welcomed into heaven by his father, Florencio Ojeda, his sisters, Nimsi Rivera, Maria Bonilla, and his brother, Neftali Bonilla.
Nehemias lived on this planet, loving God and his loving, beautiful wife Blanca Bonilla; children, Jeremy Bonilla and Karissa Bonilla-Alvarez, and his grandson, Cairo Bonilla, more than anything. He adored his mother Isabel Ojeda, who he selflessly took care of; and siblings Nathaniel Bonilla, and Juana Bonilla.
Nehemias was special, and honorable, and loved by so many. Everywhere he went, he knew somebody, and he always prayed for them. Nehemias helped rebuild many altars, early morning and late nights in the church fixing anything broken out of the kindness of his heart. If you really knew Bo, you would know he never accepted offerings or any form of payment when offered. But he always said, "Hook me up with a hot plate the next time you cook," it was set after that.
The results in his work were always heavenly! If you called, texted, or reached out to Bo he was always there. When his kids called, he was there. He always did his best to make it to Florida if not once but twice a year. I can't even begin to tell you how many times he helped put his personal touch of love hanging pictures, painting, doing yard work, fixing our cars when he came to visit. Bo gave and served with his whole heart. He provided; he always supported us. He made us laugh, cry, frustrated, but most importantly he made sure we knew he loved us.
Bo enjoyed the shooting range, fishing, cedar point and the zoo. He didn't mind the 18-hour trip to Florida no matter how uncomfortable or how hard it was when he did. He found a way to surprise his kids on birthdays, Christmas, and days just because.
He loved his family his kids his grandkids his step kids and all his brothers and sisters in Christ. Life as we know it will never be the same. This is not goodbye Bo. This is until we see each other again in the true glory of our heavenly father. Watch over us as you always have. We will never forget you. We will never stop loving you and we will always remind people of how wonderful you were and all the wonderful things you have done for us. See you later Bo.
His family will receive friends at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Thursday, July 31, 2024, from 4 to 8 PM. His funeral service will be in the funeral home Friday, August 1 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
