In the sacred silence of farewell, Rodney is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rodney's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Thomas and Mabel Dixon Thomas; his brother Lonrenzo Flanders-Thomas; and his grandson Kevin Blakely. He is survived by: his son Devin Maurice of Lorain, OH; his wife Sandra Thomas; his sons, Rodney Thomas Jr. (LePreece) of Lorain, OH, Jason Thomas (Tanika) of Lorain, OH, Preston Blakey of Cleveland, OH and Kevin Blakely of Atlanta, GA; and his siblings, Roger Thomas (Mary) of Gulfport, MS, Lynn Thomas Holly of San Diego and Keith Thomas of Tennessee. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
