He is survived by: his wife Verna; his son John Whitacre Jr. (Carrie); his close friends, Dick, Lynn Miller, Larry and Pat Ramser; his parents, Floyd Whitacre and Maud Whitacre (Wentz); his siblings, Susan Peterson and Bill Whitacre; and his pet Jake.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Dean's Funeral Home (256 W Ohio Ave, Sebring, OH 44672). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Highland Memorial Cemetery.
