Philip Beirne wrote a sympathy message

“I first met Chuck and worked for him in the 90’s at Belcan, then continued to work and ride with him over the next decade or so at Process Plus, and then again at BSI. He was a great engineer, friend , and Man, kind, intelligent, and physically & mentally inspiring. He taught me to ‘never put my foot down’, which I will be forever grateful. Thank you Chuck, and may you rest in peace. You’ve left a legacy of family and friends that will forever continue to make your mark.”

“Philip, thank you for your kind remembrance of my dad. i didn't remember your name specifically, but I do remember his many adventures with his "biking buddies" which he cherished. He taught me the phrase "you can charge a hill, but you have to pay cash for mountains," which I believe was coined on a bike tour of Vermont. I hope you and your family are well.”
