He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Viars and Everett Viars; and his siblings, Bill Viars and Mary Viars. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Viars-Hurley (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Lauren Holthaus (Ryan) and Matthew Hurley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
