He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Bornstein and Rose Bornstein; and his brothers, Sigmund and Herbert Bornstein. He is survived by: his wife Rachelle Bornstein; his daughters, Lori Arkin (Charles) and Cheryl Kocher; his stepson Larry Lewy; his grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Francis, Jessica, Cayley, Joshua, Jake and Benjamin; and his son David. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America (jwv.org).
