He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his daughter Margaret "Meg"; his stepgrandson Michael; and his parents, John and Catherine.
He is survived by: his children, John Gutzwiller (Kari), Matt Gutzwiller (Jennifer) and Katie Callahan (Edward); his grandchildren, Leah, Sam, Elizabeth "Elle" and Harper; his stepgranddaughter Jennifer Dalton (Dennis); his stepgreat-granddaughters, Emma and Alison "Ali"; and his siblings, Jim Gutzwiller (Lois), Janice Buetsche (Dan) and Joyce Gutzwiller. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that in lieu of customary remembrances, contributions be directed to a charity of one's choosing in memory of John.
