He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Ashley Koett; and his mother Edith Koett (Gillham). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Koett; his children, Karl Koett, Jr. (Victoria), Kurt Koett and Kristin Johnstone (Chris); his grandchildren, Karl "AJ" Koett (Heidi), Connor Koett (Sarah), Cody Koett (Courtney), Madeline Koett, Katie Johnstone, Riley Johnstone (Olivia) and Caroline Johnstone; his great grandchildren, Gretchen, Karl, Clara, Ezra, Archie and Brady; and his father Karl Frederick Koett.
