He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Phyillis; his brother Phillip; his spouse Laurel; his children, Michael Eckels and Kathy Nagel; his children-in-law, Margy Eckels and Steve Nagel; and his grandchildren, Jen Kummerle (Kip), Ellen Nagel, Thomas Eckels (Ashley), Laura Quill (Joel), Stephanie Nagel, Kate Hendrix (Andrew) and Natalie Losier (Nolan). He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren.
