We announce the death of Mary Ann Hornikel (Lucas, Ohio), who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 86. Mary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcella Knauff and Tracy Knauff; her siblings, Leon, Karlene and Gary; and her granddaughter Brittany.
She is survived by: her children, Denise VanMeter (Jeff), Scott Hornikel (Denise) and David Hornikel; her brother-in-law Martin Hornikel; her grandchildren, Cody VanMeter, Jay VanMeter, Cory Hornikel (Desiree), Tiffani Mayer (Alex), Ashley Willman (Shawn), Makayla Weaver, Izabellah Weaver and Kaydynn Weaver; her great grandchildren, Eliza, Leah, Sophia, Blythe and Bowen; and her close friend Carol. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mt. Zion Cemetery - Lucas (4113 Mt Zion Rd, Lucas, OH 44843).
