He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Scott and Helen Scott (Mitz Smith); his wife Violet; his children, Susan Gerich and Patrick Scott; his brother Richard; his sisters-in-law, Rose Scott and Delores "Dee" Scott; his daughter-in-law Teresa "Teri" Scott; and his grandson-in-law Lyle Dodd.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Kathy Delozier; his sons, Robert Scott (Chrisanna) of Lucas, Michael Scott (Dawn) of Mansfield and Mathew Scott of Mansfield, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Mindy Sue Brown (Leonard), Sabrina Scott Hoffman (Aaron Makeever), Nicole Wildman (Troy), Cynthia Scott, Tiffany McGregor (Lenny), Tara Scott Dodd and Timothy Scott (Ashley). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wappner Funeral Directors & Crematory (100 Lexington Springmill Rd S, Ontario, OH 44906). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Mansfield Memorial Park (2507 Park Ave W, Ontario, OH 44906).
