It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karla Shope of Lucasville, Ohio, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Karla's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Karla has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Bishop-Webb and Shirley Bishop-Webb (Miller); her husband Moses Beecher Shope; and her sister Julie Allen. She is survived by: her sons, Jason Shope (Shannon) and Jeff Shope (Angie); her grandchildren, Katelyn Rayburn, Cheyenne Shope and Macy Shope; her great grandchild Kyndri Rayburn; and her sister Angie Picard.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home (6710 Swauger Valley Rd, Minford, OH 45653). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Garvin Cemetery.
