He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Burkitt and Alice Everhart (Grove); his wife Cheryl Burkitt; and his brother Donald Gene Burkitt. He is survived by: his children, Chris Burkitt and Heather Howell; his grandchildren, Tiffany Burkitt, Alexander Russell and Cassidy Newton (Nick); and his brother Ed Burkitt. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
