He is survived by: his children, Daniel Heise (Gloria) of Luckey and Kim Kohring (Jeff) of Pemberville; his grandchildren, Daniel Heise, Jacqueline Slaughterbeck (Justin), Emily Green (Chad) and Erica Aurand (Zach); his great grandchildren, August, Cora, Eliza, Levi and Addison; and his sister Martha Gahn (Randal).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contribution to: St. Jude Children's Hospital.
