Walter J. Minarik Obituary

We bid farewell to Walter J. Minarik (Luckey, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 5, 2026 at the age of 90. Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Walter was predeceased by: parents, Walter Minarik and Nora Minarik Sr. (Codrey); wife Sandra Kelly; children, Walter Joseph Minarik III and Kelly Leady; sisters, Barb Parker and Mary Shook; and K-9 pals, BB, Smiley and Howie.

Walter is survived by: son Mark Minarik (Laurie) of Curtice; son-in-law Tom Leady of Elmore; and brother Larry Minarik (Sandy). Walter is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. John's Lutheran Church.
