We announce the death of Joyce L. Dense of Madison, Ohio, born in Wickliffe, Ohio, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 91. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Joyce will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Joyce will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Joyce’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John June and Mildred June (Petersen); her husband Charles V. Dense; and her sister Joann Maruschak. She is survived by: her children, Michael Dense (Tina) of South Haven, Vicki Thorsen of Madison, Kathleen Heitmann of Buffalo Grove, Susan Derus (Christopher) of Huntsburg and Deborah Bruce (Craig) of Mt. Prospect, Illinois. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (2846 Hubbard Rd, Madison, OH 44057). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
