With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Ruth Battes of Madison, Ohio, who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Karen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Karen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Kraus and Ruth Kraus (Pokrant); her husband William; and her stepson Robert. She is survived by: her son John "Ed" Battes; and her stepchildren, William "Bill" Battes (Marge) and Connie Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Behm Family Funeral Homes - Madison (26 River St, Madison, OH 44057). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
