She was predeceased by: her husband James Alvin Quinn; and her parents, Richard Butler and Clara Butler. She is survived by: her daughters, Jenifer Quinn-Wilson (Shawn) and Lacey Smith (Jason); her grandchildren, Bradley Cone and Toshi Smith; and her siblings, Neal Butler (Jean), Richard "Rick" Butler Jr., Roger Butler (Lydia), Margaret Bruki (Bruce) and Alanna Butler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church (107 S 3rd St, Waynesville, OH 45068). When her daughter Jenifer became disabled by COVID in 2020, Carolyn worked tirelessly to care for her, too.
