He is survived by: his children, David Matthews Jr. of Upper Arlington, Noah Matthews of McConnelsville, Benjamin Matthews of Zanesville and Rachel Matthews of Dallas, TX; and his siblings, Freddy Matthews of Ypsilanty, MI and Jackie Patrick of Dayton. He is also survived by several grandchildren & great grandchildren.
