He was predeceased by: his parents, Thernia and Charles Damron; and his pet Useless. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Damron; his daughter Vanessa Gardner (Dale); his brother Charles Damron; his grandchildren, Brandie Seals (John Williams) and Terry Humphrey (Keisha); his great grandchildren, Alexxis, Jerzzee and Trinity; and his close friend George Ward. He is also survived by three step-sons.
