He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Wilson and Gertrude Miller Wilson; his sons, Jerry Roberts Wilson II, Steven Wayne Wilson and Alan Lee Wilson; and his siblings, Ivan Bern Wilson, Jay Leroy Wilson and Eugie Wilson Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Azcal Mace Wilson; his children, Mark D. Wilson (Cindy), Shirley Bellville (Sam) and Alison Rucker (David); his grandchildren, Maria Burdette (Wilson), Jon, Anne Powell (Wilson), Andrew, Andrea Irwin (Wilson), Casey Wilson, Curt, Emily Bellville, Jeff, Jill Drumm (Bellville), Nick Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, Robert, Brianna Mulhollen (Rucker), Derek, Megan Rucker, Dylan and Michelle Shaw (Rucker); and his siblings, Janice Ruth McConkey, James Bailey Wilson and Brooks Lee Wilson. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
