He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gibson and Alice Gibson; and his brother Donald Gibson. He is survived by : his wife Carol Gibson (Takacs); his children, James Gibson (Ana Maria) and Wendy Wells (Donald); and his grandchildren, James Gibson, Hunter Wells and Rebecca Gibson.
