It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Carter of Manchester, Ohio, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Yates and Loretta Johnson (Secrest); her husband Johnny Carter; her sister Barbara Downing; and her nephew Douglas Downing.
She is survived by: her children, Jonda Young (Greg) and Cody Carter (Michelle); her nephew Benjamin Downing (Kerinda); her grandchildren, Brayden, Rylie, Bryce Young, Kayleigh Barton (Tyler), Kamey and Kloey Carter; her great-nieces, Addi and Ambree Downing; her siblings, Jeff, Rob, Ray, Beth Johnson and Tammy Brewer (Randy); and her close friends, Sue Dryden and Clyta Carter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (35 W 2nd St, Manchester, OH 45144). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the Manchester Cemetery.
