He was predeceased by : his parents, Bertha Herpel Buchholz and Leo Buchholz; his siblings, Catherine Guenther, Carl Buchholz, Emma Maxwell, Mary Ann Hamm, Virginia Buchholz and Doris Heath; and his pets, Charlie and Gracie.

He is survived by : his children, John Adrian Buchholz (Sermin) of Fredericktown and June Kathryn; his grandchildren, Butler, Andrew (Liz), Jena, Christian, Katie, Jacob (Chriztine) and Luke; his great grandchildren, Micah, Esther, Miriam, Isaac, Ruth, Benjamin, Joel, Naomi and Emry; and his sisters, Polly Dodenhoff of Wooster and Janet Kramarz of Chesterland.
