He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Brinegar and Elsa Brinegar (Kiser); his brother Leroy Brinegar; and his aunts, Sylvia Reynolds and Kay Kiser.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Brinegar (Collins); his daughters, Tammy Armstrong (Brian) and Carmen Armstrong (Rodney Holsinger); his siblings, Michael Brinegar (Mindi) and Debbie Bowman; his grandchildren, Johnathon Armstrong, Alexis Layer (Tom), Jennifer Bright (Matt) and Abigail Armstrong (Brandon Nemtuda); his great grandchild Jameson Bright; and his nephew Joseph Hermel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who were more like siblings.
