He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert A. Hay and Pheobe E. Hay (Barker); his wife Joy; his son Randy Davis; his grandson Joshua Owens; and his siblings, Thelma Dickison, Inez Ketchesin, Clarence Hay, Orville Hay, Alfred Hay Jr., Lawrence Hay, John Hay, Boston Terrier and Bandit.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Hay Owens, Judy Fultz (Ray), Ronnie Davis (Arlene) and Mark Davis (Laura); and his grandchildren, Ronnie C. Owens, Dylan J. Owens, Regina Moore, Julie Mays, Janet Elswick, Michael Davis, Jessica Bullock, Erica Davis, Jamie Peterson and Chrissy Davis. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
