He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howard Atkins and Mary Anna Atkins (Jeffrey); and his siblings, David Atkins and Laurie Kanis. He is survived by: his wife Lori Atkins (Richards); his daughters, Tecca Puckett of Canal Winchester, Bethanie Atkins of Lexington and Allison Atkins of Lexington; his grandchildren, Avery Niswander (Zach Butler), Ashley Puckett (Josh Brown), Ethan Puckett, Emma Janssen, Max Pelfrey, Milo Pelfrey, Madi Utter and Charles Workman; his great grandchildren, Archie Janssen, Reece Brown and Bohen Butler; his siblings, Jane Atkins-Hicks and Luke Wheeler; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Atkins and Les Kanis. He is also survived by one Dad, and, in his grandchildren's eyes, the number-one Grandpa.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel (2553 Lexington Ave, Mansfield, OH 44904). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Berean Baptist Church (2145 Middle Bellville Rd, Mansfield, OH 44904).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
