He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. James R Davis and Marjorie Davis (Bletz); his brother-in-law Gary Burkholder; his nephew Timmy Davis; and his niece Harper Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Davis (Hoam); his children, Laura Wangler (Russ) of Lewis Center, Mindy Pyke (Gerrit) of Westerville and Jim Davis of Fredericktown; his grandchildren, Ella, Natalie Pyke, Emily and Tommy Wangler; and his siblings, Joan Smith (Michael), Jeanine Burkholder, Janet Coole (Doug), Judy Hoam (Gary), Tim Davis (Teresa), Joy Motter (Steve), Marc Davis (Kari) and Jeni Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to the Newville Church or Richland Pregnancy Center.
