We bid farewell to David Edward Bates of Mansfield, Ohio, born in Norton, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 27, 2025 at the age of 71. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Bates and Frances Bates; and his brother Daniel Bates. He is survived by: his wife Deb Bates (Ramey); his children, Ginger Baldinger (James), Matthew Bates (Tara) and April Zeno (Jim); his grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Alex, Hannah, Garrett, Alexis, Nathan, Emmett, Beckett and Tobias; and his sister Jane Schwartz (Steve).
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, Ltd. (1106 Park Ave E, Mansfield, OH 44905). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
