He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Grassel and Esther E. Dorn Grassel; and his stepfather William Brubach (Corrine Grassel). He is survived by: his children, Michelle Weirich (Tom) and David Grassel; his sister Susan Ferguson (Dave); his grandsons, Brandon Weirich and Sean Weirich (Katherine); his great grandchildren, Kelly Merrill and Sophie Weirich; and his niece Alexis Ferguson.
