He is survived by: his wife Denise Spillman; his children, Christina Vanderpool (Jeff) and Donnie L. Spillman II; and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Cottrell. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild who is due in July; his four siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
