He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmet Sr. Smith and Cleo Smith (Massengill). He is survived by: his wife Jo Smith (Jo Brumm); his sons, Rory Smith of Mansfield, Jay Smith of Mansfield and Cary Smith (Pam) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Courtney Tripp (Daimon) of Mansfield, Joey Smith (Josie) of Mansfield, Tony Smith of Mansfield and Ashley Chirila (Jerry) of Peoria, AZ; his great grandchildren, Mckaylah Smith, Landon, Addilyn Chirila, Maddison, Mckynzie Smith and Malina Tripp of Mansfield; and his brother Harold Smith (Annette) of Howell, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to Washington Township Fire Department, 2480 Possum Run Road, Mansfield or to Caesarea Baptist Church, 807 Taylor Road, Mansfield.
