It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fredric Michael Zahn of Mansfield, Ohio, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fredric Michael Zahn to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Zahn and Christine Zahn (Hallabrin); his wife Phyllis Zahn; and his brother Ron Zahn. He is survived by: his children, Kim Sorensen (Jim), Kelly Smith (Eric) and Ken Zahn (Jen); his grandchildren, Dr. Richard Bayer (Brittany), Michael Bayer (Brittany), Scott Bayer (Kait), Matthew McNeill, Kyle McNeill, Mitchell Zahn, Mason Zahn and Jack Zahn; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Nora, Lucy, Marlowa, Bodie, Callahan, Kai and Hendrix Bayer; his stepgrandchildren, James Sorensen, Brittany Wise (Mike), Hannah Sharp (Ed) and Hayley Smith; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Carter Neumann and Kat Wise. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario (100 Lexington Springmill Rd S, Ontario, OH 44906). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
